Namibia imported nearly 585,000 kilograms of manganese in 2018, a 62.4% increase from the 360,000 kilograms imported in 2017. Since 2005, the country's demand for the mineral has grown 81.1% annually. In 2018, it ranked 36th in the world, just behind Kazakhstan's 585,000 kilograms. Japan, Russia, and India followed in that order. Ireland outranked Namibia in 2018, importing 5.59 kilograms of manganese. The Netherlands, South Korea, and Kazakhstan followed in that order.
