Belgium is set to see an increase in manganese imports and exports over the next five years. Imports of the mineral are expected to reach 16.3 million kilograms by 2026, a 2.7% year-on-year average growth rate since 2004. In 2021, Belgium was the 11th largest importer, overtaken by Brazil at 13.9 million kilograms. Japan, Russia and India respectively ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Exports of manganese from Belgium are estimated to reach 7.7 million kilograms by 2026, a 2.3% year-on-year average growth rate since 2004. In 2021, Germany overtook Belgium, with the country in 7th place at 6.7 million kilograms. The Netherlands, South Korea and Kazakhstan came in 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
