Mexico continues to be the dominant player in global avocado production, standing at 2.6048 million metric tons in 2024, reflecting a 3.58% annual growth over the previous year. Other major producers include the Dominican Republic with 0.77822 million metric tons, and Peru with 0.63024 million metric tons, recording a 3.85% and 4.55% growth respectively. Colombia experienced a notable increase of 6.19%, and Kenya saw an impressive 11.05% surge. Conversely, the United States and South Africa faced declines of 7.22% and 4.41% respectively. New Zealand, Ethiopia, and Ecuador also showed positive momentum.

Short-term trends indicate that avocado production is generally on the rise, with several countries showing robust annual growth figures. Notably, emerging regions like Kenya and Colombia have shown strong performance. The only significant negative trend in major producers is in the United States. The downward trend in minor producers such as the Philippines and France, alongside stagnant or minimal growth in regions like the Caribbean Islands, also stands out.
