Germany remains the largest producer of whole milk in Europe with a 24.66% share, although it saw a decline of 1.35% in 2023. The United Kingdom and Poland follow, with Poland experiencing a notable increase of 4.62%, while the UK faced a 2.85% drop. Spain and Italy hold significant shares at 13.22% and 11.06% respectively, though both countries saw slight decreases. Austria and Ireland witnessed marginal changes, with Austria increasing by 0.54% and Ireland decreasing by 0.61%. France experienced a notable decline of 2.28%, whereas the Czech Republic and Romania showed substantial growths of 9.31% and 10.87% respectively.

Several smaller countries like Slovenia and Cyprus experienced declines, whereas Slovakia and Serbia showed robust growth rates at 9.67% and 7.66% respectively. Belgium, Denmark, and the Netherlands also reported positive changes. Finland was an outlier with a significant drop of 3.98%. Over the last five years, the Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) indicates an average trend, highlighting steady incremental changes across most countries.
