Colombian pulp imports are predicted to decrease slightly by 0.3% year-on-year, from 149,340 metric tons in 2021 to around 146,550 metric tons by 2026. This is a slight decrease since 1966, when the yearly rate of import was 0.1%. In 2021, Colombia was ranked 40th in global imports, overtaken by Portugal with 149,340 metric tons. The United States, Germany and Italy followed, ranked second, third and fourth respectively. Colombian pulp exports are forecasted to grow at a 4.5% year-on-year CAGR, from 3,930 metric tons in 2021 to 5,250 metric tons by 2026. This is a significant increase since 1998, when the yearly rate of export was 25.7%. In 2021, Colombia was ranked 48th in global exports, overtaken by Tunisia with 3,930 metric tons. Canada, the United States and Chile respectively followed, ranked second, third and fourth.
