Peru is set to increase its pulp imports and exports in the coming years. According to the latest research, pulp imports are expected to reach 167,840 metric tons by 2026, growing at an average rate of 2.5% year on year. This is up from 143,390 metric tons in 2021, when Peru ranked number 42 in the world. The United States, Germany and Italy ranked above Peru at numbers 2, 3 and 4 respectively. Meanwhile, Peru's pulp exports are expected to reach 2,440 metric tons by 2026, growing at an average rate of 5.3% year on year. This is up from 1,730 metric tons in 2021, when Peru ranked number 50, with Greece above it at 1,730 metric tons. Canada, the United States and Chile respectively ranked numbers 2, 3 and 4 in the world. Since 1998, Peru's pulp exports have increased by 236.8% year on year.
