Angola is set to witness strong growth in the paper and pulp industry over the next five years. Pulp imports are forecast to increase by 4.2% year-on-year from 2021 to 2026, reaching 22,740 metric tons. Since 2002, demand for pulp has grown 39.2% on an annual basis. Angola came 72nd in the ranking of countries in 2021, with Ghana ahead at 17,370 metric tons. The United States, Germany and Italy followed in second, third and fourth place respectively. Meanwhile, pulp exports are expected to grow by 0.1% year-on-year from 2021 to 2026, reaching 712 metric tons. Since 1973, supply has increased by a modest 0.1% annually. Angola was 62nd in the ranking of countries in 2021, with Oman taking the lead at 708 metric tons. Canada, the United States and Chile followed in second, third and fourth place respectively.
