Ghana's pulp imports are set to rise to around 25,000 metric tons by 2026, according to CAGR figures. Since 1997, Ghanaian demand has jumped 96%. In 2021, the country was ranked 71st, behind the Dominican Republic with 17,550 metric tons. The United States, Germany and Italy were the second, third and fourth highest ranked countries respectively. Meanwhile, Ghanaian pulp exports fell significantly in 2021, down to 1 metric ton from 2 metric ton in 2020. This was a 50% decrease from 2020. Since 2009, Ghanaian supply has decreased by 13%. The country was ranked 129th in 2021, behind Senegal with 1 metric ton. Canada, the United States and Chile were the second, third and fourth highest ranked countries respectively.
