Iran's pulp import and export are set to show a mixed picture over the next five years. Import is expected to fall by 2.8% year-on-year on average, with a total drop of 14.6% since 1974. In 2021, Iran ranked 48th in the world, with Serbia coming in ahead at 82,780 metric tons. The United States, Germany and Italy followed in second, third and fourth place in the rankings. Export is expected to grow by 2.5% year-on-year on average, with an overall increase of 8.2% since 2002. Last year, Iran placed 49th, with Switzerland leading at 2,770 metric tons. Canada, the United States and Chile then came in as the second, third, and fourth respectively. Overall, the outlook for Iran's pulp import and export over the next five years is mixed.
