Nepal is set to boost its pulp import to 1,060 metric tonnes by 2026, a 2.6% increase year on year. Since 1997, the country's demand for pulp has grown almost 18%. In 2021, Nepal was ranked 107th, with 905 metric tonnes. Albania was ahead, in 106th place. The US, Germany and Italy held the top three spots. In 2021, Nepal exported 106 metric tonnes of pulp, a 24.3% drop from 2020. Since 2000, the country's supply has decreased by over a third. Nepal was 84th in the 2021 rankings, with Nigeria above them in 83rd. Canada, the US and Chile were the top three exporters.
