Qatar's pulp imports dropped 43% in 2021 compared to the previous year, reaching 142 metric tons. This is the lowest level since 1997, when the country began keeping records. Kyrgyzstan topped the rankings with 142 metric tons, followed by the United States, Germany and Italy. Qatar's pulp exports are projected to drop to 36 metric tons by 2026, a 3.9% decrease compared to 2021. Since 2011, exports have decreased 8.3% year-on-year. Burkina Faso surpassed Qatar in 2021, with 46 metric tons. Canada, the United States and Chile ranked second, third and fourth respectively.
