Kenyan imports of chromium dropped by 40% year-on-year in 2018, with 300 kilograms imported, compared to the 500 kilograms imported in 2017. Over the years, demand has been decreasing, down 18% since 2004. Kenya was ranked 73rd in the world in 2018, while Senegal was ahead with 300 kilograms. The top three importers of chromium in the same year were Germany, the Netherlands and Japan.
