Japan is set to see a slight growth in chromium exports and imports over the next five years. In 2021, the country was ranked 15th for exports, with 500,820 kilograms of chromium exported, a 12.4% year-on-year increase since 1993. Switzerland was number one in the ranking, with Poland, France and the United Kingdom in second, third and fourth place respectively. Imports are also set to see a slight increase, with 4,568,700 kilograms of chromium expected to be imported by 2026. This is a 0.7% year-on-year increase since 1993. The Netherlands topped the ranking in 2021, with Germany, the Netherlands and Japan in second, third and fourth place respectively.
