Italian chromium import is set to reach around 2.7 million kilograms by 2026, growing at an average rate of 2.5% year-on-year. In 2021, Italy ranked 6th in terms of chromium imports, with South Korea overtaking the country at 2.3 million kilograms. Germany, the Netherlands and Japan ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Italian chromium export rose to 28,320 kilograms in 2018, from 26,290 kilograms in 2017 – up 7.7% compared to the previous year. Since 1999, Italian chromium supply has increased by almost 27%. In 2018, Luxembourg overtook Italy at 28,320 kilograms, with Poland, France and the United Kingdom respectively coming in 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
