Uruguay's imports of chromium jumped 368.5% in 2018, from 10.3 kilograms to 48.25 kilograms. This marked the highest level since 2000, when imports had fallen 6.8% from the year before. In 2018, Uruguay was the 83rd largest importer of chromium, behind Lebanon, which was in the lead with 48.25 kilograms. Germany, the Netherlands and Japan followed in second, third and fourth place, respectively.
