Nicaragua's chromium imports decreased dramatically in 2018, down 93.5% to 4.1 kilograms from 63.3 kilograms the year before. The Central American country has seen demand for the metal decline by 28.5% since 2004. Malta overtook Nicaragua in 2018, importing 4.1 kilograms. Germany, the Netherlands and Japan were the top three importers, respectively.
