Belgian chromium exports are projected to decline to 750,000 kilograms in 2026, a 0.2% decrease from 2021. Since 2004, the country has seen a 9% decline in exports year-on-year. Belgium ranked 12th in 2021, with Sweden in the lead at 761,140 kilograms. Poland, France, and the United Kingdom were the second, third, and fourth biggest exporters respectively. Belgian chromium imports, meanwhile, are expected to reach 2.4 million kilograms in 2026, a 2.3% increase from 2021. Since 2004, the country has seen a 0.3% rise in demand year-on-year. Italy was the top importer in 2021, at 2.1 million kilograms. Germany, the Netherlands, and Japan were the second, third, and fourth largest importers respectively.
