Exports of chromium from the UAE are set to reach around 140,000 kilograms by 2026 from 106,000 kilograms in 2021, according to a compound annual growth rate of 4.5%. Last year, Latvia was the top exporter with 106,000 kilograms, beating out Poland, France, and the UK, which ranked second, third, and fourth respectively. Meanwhile, imports of chromium to the UAE are estimated to fall to 86,500 kilograms by 2026 from 175,000 kilograms in 2021, with a compound annual growth rate of -11.7%. Since 2012, the country's demand for chromium has decreased by 0.9% year on year. South Africa was the leader in 2021, with imports of 175,000 kilograms, followed by Germany, the Netherlands, and Japan.
