Qatari demand for chromium is growing at a rate of 3.9% every year. In 2021, it was estimated at around 36,000 kilograms, compared to 29,000 kilograms in 2010 - an increase of 5.4%. Argentina overtook Qatar as the 44th largest importer of chromium, surpassing its 2021 total of 29,000 kilograms. Germany, the Netherlands and Japan were the second, third and fourth largest importers, respectively.
