Chilean demand for cigars is set to rise by 1.5% year on year until 2026. In 2021, the import of cigars was 6,790 kilograms, and this is expected to increase to 7,380 kilograms by 2026. Since 1996 there has been an annual decrease in demand of 1.3%. Chilean cigar exports are predicted to grow by 4.3% year on year until 2026. In 2021 exports were 48,230 kilograms, making Chile the 27th largest exporter of cigars. Costa Rica took the lead in 2021 with 62,920 kilograms, followed by Myanmar, Nicaragua and Germany.
