Australia's cigar import and export is set to decrease significantly over the next five years. Import of cigars into Australia is projected to drop by 13.4% year on year, from 107,530 kilograms in 2021 to 47,870 kilograms in 2026. This follows a 13.7% year on year decrease since 1993. Meanwhile, export of cigars from Australia is forecast to fall 16.6% year on year, from 6,030 kilograms in 2020 to 5,030 kilograms in 2021. This is a 21.4% decrease since 1993. In 2021, Australia ranked 47th for cigar export, with Paraguay in first place with 5,030 kilograms. Myanmar, Nicaragua and Germany were second, third and fourth, respectively.
