Swiss Cigar Import is forecast to grow at a steady rate of 1.3% year-on-year over the next five years. In 2021, the amount imported was 222,590 Kilograms, having increased by 2.9% year-on-year since 1993. Swiss Cigar Export is similarly expected to grow by 0.5% year-on-year to reach 156,330 Kilograms by 2026. This is in spite of a 2.5% year-on-year decrease since 1993. In 2021, the amount exported was 151,690 Kilograms, making Switzerland the 24th largest exporter in the world. Portugal, Myanmar, Nicaragua and Germany were the top four exporters in 2021.
