Egypt's pig production is projected to decline by 13.3% between 2021 and 2026, according to a recent report. This follows a downward trend since 1966, when production fell 6.1% year-on-year. Consumption of pork in Egypt was 1,000 metric tons in 2018, a decrease from 2017, when it was also 1,000 metric tons.
