Finnish pig production is set to drop by 1.9% year on year, reaching 226,720 heads by 2026. This is a decrease from the 253,410 heads in 2021. Since 1966, Finnish supply has been on a downward trajectory, falling by 3.9% year on year. Meanwhile, Finnish pork consumption is expected to grow by an average rate of 0.3% year on year, reaching 212,000 metric tons by 2026. This is a marginal increase from 208,000 metric tons in 2021. Since 2017, the demand for Finnish pork has remained steady. In 2021, the country ranked 45th in this regard, with Cuba coming in ahead at 208,000 metric tons. The United States, Russia, and Vietnam respectively took the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th spots.
