Turkmen pig production is down 20.4% compared to last year, dropping from 1,560 heads in 2020 to 1,240 heads this year. The supply has dropped 11.6% since 1997. Meanwhile, Turkmen pork consumption has increased by 5.3% since last year, rising from 0.95 thousand metric tons in 2020 to 1 thousand metric tons in 2021. Despite this uptick, demand has decreased by 20.6% since 2017. The country ranks 127th in this area, with Botswana in the lead at 1 thousand metric tons. The United States, Russia, and Vietnam come in second, third, and fourth, respectively.
