At the same time, pork consumption in Kazakhstan is estimated to fall by 1.3% year on year over the same period, from 116.59 thousand metric tons in 2021 to 126 thousand metric tons in 2026. This marks a decrease of 1% since 2017. In 2021, Kazakhstan was the 55th largest consumer in the world, behind Uganda. The United States, Russia and Vietnam were the 2nd, 3rd and 4th largest consumers respectively.
