Senegalese pig production is set to reach 110,000 heads by 2026, growing at an average rate of 1.6% year on year. This is up from 96,630 heads in 2021 and a 2.7% increase since 1966. Meanwhile, Senegalese pork consumption is expected to reach 17,100 metric tons by 2026, increasing by a modest 1% year on year. This is up from 16,000 metric tons in 2021 and stable since 2017. Senegal currently ranks 92nd in the world, with Albania just ahead at 16,000 metric tons. The United States, Russia and Vietnam respectively rank 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
