Guatemala's pig production is projected to grow by 0.9% year-on-year, reaching 801,000 heads by 2026. This marks an increase of 1.2% since 1966. Meanwhile, the country's pork consumption is set to reach 88,100 metric tons by 2026, a 0.7% rise from its 2021 figure of 85,000 metric tons. This marks a 0.4% yearly increase since 2017. Guatemala ranks 64th in the world in pork consumption, with Latvia ahead at 85,000 metric tons. The US, Russia and Vietnam take the second, third and fourth spots respectively.
