Pig production in Vietnam is projected to drop by 1.6% year-on-year over the coming five years. This follows a 5.9% decrease since 1966. Meanwhile, pork consumption is expected to reach 3,790 thousand metric tons in 2026, a slight 0.6% increase since 2021. This follows an average 0.5% increase since 2017. Vietnam was the fourth biggest consumer of pork in 2021, behind the United States, Russia and China.
