Sweden's pig production is expected to drop slightly by 2026. According to figures, it has decreased by an average of 0.6% each year since 1966. Meanwhile, the country's pork consumption is also forecasted to decline, albeit at a slower rate of 0.2% each year since 2017. Sweden came in 33rd place in 2021 with 303,000 metric tons of pork, while Greece took the lead with 306,000 metric tons. The United States, Russia and Vietnam followed in second, third and fourth place, respectively.
