Estonian pig production is set to decline by 1.7% year on year, from 70,950 heads in 2021 to 64,230 heads by 2026. Since 1997, it has grown by an average of 1.3% year on year. Meanwhile, Estonian pork consumption is set to increase 0.8% year on year, from 50 thousand metric tons in 2021 to 52 thousand metric tons by 2026. Since 2017, there has been no significant change. Estonia ranked 74th in 2021, with Uruguay overtaking the country with 50 thousand metric tons. The United States, Russia and Vietnam followed, occupying the 2nd, 3rd and 4th spots, respectively.
