Since 2017, the country's demand has grown by 0.4% each year. Moldavian pork consumption was ranked 66th in 2021. The United States, Russia, and Vietnam were the second, third, and fourth largest consumers respectively. Malawi overtook Moldavia, coming in at 75,000 metric tons.
