Pig Production in Sri Lanka is expected to reach 20,000 heads by 2026. This marks an increase of 0.6% each year since 2021, when the number of pigs stood at 18,900. Since 1966, supply of pork in the country has grown by 3% annually. Meanwhile, consumption of pork in Sri Lanka was 1,000 metric tons in 2018, up from 2017's figure of 1,000 metric tons.
