Burmese pig production is set to increase by 3% year on year, reaching almost 7 million heads by 2026. This is an increase of 6.9% since 1966. Burmese pork consumption is set to rise by 0.4% year on year, reaching 680,100 metric tons by 2026. This is a small increase of 0.2% since 2017. In 2021, Burmese consumption ranked 21st, with Argentina ahead in first place, at 665,000 metric tons. The United States, Russia and Vietnam followed in second, third and fourth place respectively.
