Serbian pig production is set to fall by 1% year-on-year on average over the next five years. Since 2011, the supply of pigs has decreased by an average of 1.5% annually. Serbian pork consumption is expected to increase by 0.4% year-on-year over the coming five years. Since 2017, demand has remained unchanged. In 2021, the country ranked in 31st place, overtaken by Belarus which consumed 334 thousand metric tons. The US, Russia and Vietnam followed in second, third and fourth place respectively.
