Consumption of beef in Madagascar is expected to reach 190,000 metric tons by 2026, a 0.6% year-on-year increase since 2017. Meanwhile, production of beef in the country is estimated to reach 167,640 metric tons the same year, a 0.3% yearly average rate since 1966. Madagascar was placed 56th in the world ranking in 2021, overtaken by Uganda with 164,810 metric tons. Brazil, China and Argentina were ranked second, third and fourth, respectively.
