Americans are expected to consume over 12 million metric tons of beef by 2026, a slight 0.3 percent increase from 2021. Since 2017, the demand for beef has grown by an average of 0.7 percent year-on-year. At the same time, U.S. beef production is forecast to reach nearly 13 million metric tons by 2026, a 0.5 percent year-on-year growth rate. This marks a 2 percent jump since 1966. Brazil, China and Argentina are the next three biggest producers.
