Peruvian beef consumption is forecast to decline by a small 0.2% each year until 2026, down from its 2021 level of 136,580 metric tons. This follows a downward trend since 2017, during which time the demand for beef in Peru has decreased by 0.2% annually. Peruvian beef production is expected to increase by 0.7% each year until 2026, up from the 2021 level of 196,480 metric tons. This follows an upward trend since 1966, when Peruvian supply increased by 0.4% each year. Peru was ranked 52nd in 2021, with Mali coming ahead at 196,480 metric tons. Brazil, China and Argentina ranked second, third and fourth, respectively.
