Uzbekistan's beef consumption is expected to reach almost 970 thousand metric tons by 2026. This is an increase of 0.6% year-on-year, compared to the growth rate seen since 2017, which stood at 0.5%. At the same time, beef production in Uzbekistan is projected to reach 1.12 million metric tons by 2026, a 1.7% year-on-year average growth rate since 1997. In 2021, the country was ranked 12th in the world, overtaken by South Africa with 1.02 million metric tons. The top three producers were Brazil, China and Argentina.
