Cuban beef consumption is projected to reach nearly 79,000 metric tons by 2026, an increase of 0.4% a year since 2017. Cuban beef production is also set to rise, to nearly 88,400 metric tons by 2026, an average annual growth rate of 0.9% since 1966. In 2021, Cuba ranked 78th in the world, with Costa Rica overtaking it in production at 84,000 metric tons. Brazil, China and Argentina held the top three slots.
