Demand for beef in Panama is set to decline slightly over the next five years. By 2026, consumption is expected to reach 60 thousand metric tons, down 1.5% from 2021. Since 2017, demand has been decreasing by an average of 1.5% a year. Meanwhile, production is predicted to drop slightly as well, reaching 64 thousand metric tons in 2026. This is a decrease of 0.8% from 2021. Since 1966, supply has been declining by an average of 1.2% each year. In 2021, Panama ranked 83rd in the world for production, behind the Czech Republic. Brazil, China and Argentina were the top producers.
