Nigeria's beef demand is set to decline slightly over the next five years. Between 2021 and 2026, consumption is forecast to drop by about 320,000 metric tons, a decrease of 1.3% per year. This follows a pattern of decreasing demand since 2017, when it fell by almost 4%. Meanwhile, the country's beef production is expected to remain relatively unchanged. Between 2021 and 2026, output is projected to stay at around 324,000 metric tons, an increase of 1.7% since 1966.
