Czechs are set to consume more beef in the next five years. By 2026, beef consumption is projected to reach 120,000 metric tons, an increase of 1.2% per year since 2021. Since 2017, demand has grown by an average of 1.2% annually. However, the nation's beef production is expected to decrease over the same period. Output is estimated to fall to 66,800 metric tons by 2026, a drop of 1.1% per year since 2021. Compared to 1998, production has decreased by 0.5% annually. In 2021, the Czech Republic ranked 82nd among countries in terms of beef production, overtaken by Armenia with 71,170 metric tons. Brazil, China and Argentina respectively were numbers 2, 3 and 4 in this ranking.
