Ukrainian beef consumption is projected to reach 290,000 tons by 2026, down 1.3 percent from the current level of 312,000 tons. Since 2017, consumption has declined by 1.5 percent year-on-year. Ukrainian beef production is expected to hit 264,000 tons by 2026, a decrease of 3.8 percent from the 2021 level of 331,730 tons. Since 1997, production has dropped by 2.5 percent year-on-year. In 2021, Ukraine ranked 37th globally in beef production. Belarus was ahead at 331,730 tons, followed by Brazil, China and Argentina.
