Nepal's beef consumption is expected to reach 233,100 metric tons by 2026, a slight decrease from 234,000 metric tons in 2021. This marks a 0.1% decrease in consumption on a yearly basis since 2017. At the same time, beef production in Nepal is set to remain unchanged at 49,380 metric tons over the same period. This equates to a 0% decrease in supply since 1966. In 2021, Nepal ranked 94th for beef production, with Syria overtaking at 49,430 metric tons. Brazil, China and Argentina respectively ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the same ranking.
