Since 2017, there has been no change in French Polynesian beef demand. Production of beef in French Polynesia is forecasted to decline slightly between 2021 and 2026, falling from 141 metric tons to 137.9 metric tons. This would represent a year-on-year decrease of 0.4%, which is in line with the 1.1% drop in production since 1966. In 2021, French Polynesia ranked 180th in the world for beef production, with the Falkland Islands leading the way at 141 metric tons. Brazil, China and Argentina were the second, third, and fourth largest producers, respectively.
