German whisky import and export are set to increase over the next five years. Imports are projected to reach $663 million by 2026, while exports are estimated to hit $410 million. This growth is expected to be gradual, with an average year-on-year rate of 1.8%. Since 1996, German demand for whisky has grown annually at a rate of 3.6%. Supply, meanwhile, has grown at a slower rate of 2.6%. In 2021, Germany ranked fifth in exports, behind the United States, Singapore and Ireland.
