Brazil is predicted to become the eighth-largest olive oil consumer in the world by 2026. In 2021, the country consumed 75,000 metric tons of olive oil, a slight decrease of 2.1% compared to 2017. Algeria led the way with 75,000 metric tons, followed by Spain, the United States, and Greece. By 2026, Brazil’s olive oil consumption is forecast to rise to 77,000 metric tons, an average annual growth rate of 0.5%.
