French demand for olive oil is predicted to reach 117,000 metric tons by 2026, up 0.2% from 116,000 metric tons in 2021. Since 2017, French demand has remained steady, with Morocco in first place at 116,000 metric tons. Spain, the US and Greece came in second, third and fourth place respectively. Meanwhile, French production of olive oil is expected to reach 6,220 metric tons by 2026, growing 1.8% from 5,580 metric tons in 2021. Since 1966, French production has increased by 4.4% year-on-year. Iran overtook France for first place with 5,580 metric tons, with Greece, Italy and Tunisia coming in second, third and fourth place respectively.
