Spain, the United States and Greece were the top three consumers respectively. Meanwhile, production of olive oil in Argentina is predicted to reach 37,840 metric tons by 2026, up from 34,030 metric tons in 2021. This growth rate of 1.8% per year is an increase from the 7.2% year-on-year growth seen since 1966. In 2021, Argentina ranked 11th in the world for olive oil production, behind Lebanon with 34,030 metric tons. Greece, Italy and Tunisia were the top three producers respectively.
